Description
Vizimpro (dacomitinib) is a prescription medication used to treat patients with non-small cell lung cancer that has spread to other parts of the body. It is used as a first-line treatment if tumors have certain types of abnormal epidermal growth factor receptor genes as determined by a test approved by the FDA.
Vizimpro is available in 15 mg, 30 mg, and 45 mg tablets for oral administration.

Ingredients
The active ingredient in Vizimpro is dacomitinib.
Inactive ingredients include lactose monohydrate, microcrystalline cellulose, sodium starch glycolate, and magnesium stearate. The film coating consists of Opadry II® Blue 85F30716 containing: polyvinyl alcohol – partially hydrolyzed, talc, titanium dioxide, macrogol/PEG 3350, and FD&C Blue #2/Indigo Carmine Aluminum Lake.

Side Effects
Diarrhea, rash, nail infection, swelling and sores in the mouth, decreased appetite, dry skin, weight loss, hair loss, cough, and itching are common Vizimpro side effects; however, other side effects may also occur.
