Description
Truqap, also known as Capivasertib, is a treatment for certain types of breast cancer. It works by blocking specific enzymes that cancer cells need to grow and survive. Truqap is used for breast cancers that are hormone receptor-positive (HR-positive) or HER2-negative and have certain genetic changes in the PIK3CA, AKT1, or PTEN genes. Doctors often combine it with other cancer treatments for patients with advanced or metastatic cancer that hasn’t responded well to earlier treatments.
