Description
TactuPump is a prescription medication for treating acne vulgaris in patients 9 years and older. Acne vulgaris may include symptoms like comedones, pustules, and inflammatory papules.
It contains two active ingredients: adapalene and benzoyl peroxide. Adapalene is a retinoid that helps to unclog pores and reduce inflammation, while benzoyl peroxide is a topical antibiotic that kills bacteria on the skin.

Directions
TactuPump is available in gel form and should be applied topically to the affected area once daily, usually at bedtime.
Wash your hands thoroughly after applying the gel.
Ingredients
The active ingredients in TactuPump are adapalene and benzoyl peroxide.
Interactions
Tell your healthcare provider if you are using any of the following:
- Aminolevulinic Acid
- Dapsone
- Isotretinoin
- Methoxsalen
- Multivitamins/Fluoride (with ADE)
- Multivitamins/Minerals (with ADEK, Folate, Iron)
- Multivitamins/Minerals (with AE, No Iron)
- Porfimer
- Verteporfin
Cautions
Before using TactuPump, you should inform your doctor if you have sensitive skin, eczema, or a history of allergies to the active ingredients.
Avoid excessive exposure to sunlight or artificial UV rays, as TactuPump may increase sensitivity to sources of UV.
TactuPump should not be used during pregnancy or while breastfeeding, as the safety of this medication during these times has not been established.
Do not use TactuPump on areas of the skin that are broken, infected, or sunburned.

The most common adverse reactions to TactuPump may include the following:
- Application-site burning
- Application-site irritation
- Atopic dermatitis
- Bulla
- Conjunctivitis
- Contact dermatitis
- Eczema
- Eyelid edema
- Facial swelling
- Hyperpigmentation
- Hypopigmentation
- Local desquamation
- Local discomfort
- Local dryness of skin
- Localized burning
- Pharyngeal edema
- Pruritus
- Skin blister
- Skin discoloration
- Skin irritation
- Skin pain
- Skin rash
- Skin vesicle
- Sunburn
- Xeroderma
