Description
Sotyktu is a prescribed medication containing deucravacitinib, which is indicated for treating moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis in adults who are candidates for system therapy or phototherapy.
Sotyktu is a tyrosine kinase 2 (TYK2) inhibitor that targets key pathways involved in immune responses. It works by binding the regulatory domain of TYK2 and stabilizing the interaction between multiple domains on the target enzyme, causing an inhibition of activity. Ultimately, Sotyktu causes widespread inhibition of the immune response. The exact mechanism of psoriasis is unclear.
