Description
Robax Platinum contains methocarbamol and ibuprofen to treat pain caused by muscle spasms, including back pain, tense neck muscles, strains, and sprains.
Robax Platinum comes in caplets that contain 500 mg of methocarbamol and 200 mg of ibuprofen.

Directions
Take Robax Platinum as your doctor has prescribed. Tell your doctor or pharmacist about any questions or concerns you have.
Adults and children 12 years of age and older are recommended to take one to two caplets by mouth every four to six hours as needed. No more than six caplets should be taken within 24 hours.
Ingredients
Robax Platinum contains methocarbamol and ibuprofen. Inactive ingredients includecolloidal silicon dioxide, copovidone, FD&C Blue No. 2, ferric oxide (red), hypromellose, methyl cellulose, microcrystalline cellulose, polyethylene glycol, sodium starch glycolate, stearic acid.
Contraindications
Do not take Robax Platinum if you have or are:
- peptic ulcer disease or gastrointestinal (GI) bleeding or inflammatory disease such as colitis or Crohn's
- taking acetylsalicylic acid (ASA) or any other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) such as ibuprofen or naproxen
- an allergy to ibuprofen or other NSAIDs, ASA or other salicylates, methocarbamol, or to any component in Robax Platinum
- nasal polyps (swelling inside the nose)
- asthma, anaphylaxis, hives, stuffed or runny nose from allergies, or skin rash
- dehydrated
- serious liver or kidney problems
- Systemic Lupus Erythematosus and in your third trimester of pregnancy
Do not take Robax Platinum immediately before or after heart surgery.
Cautions
- Before you begin treatment with Robax Platinum, tell your doctor about:
- All the medications you take
- Your allergies
- Your health history and current medical problems, including diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, thyroid problems, asthma, kidney or liver problems, glaucoma, or blood clotting problems
- Your pregnancy or breastfeeding status
- Avoid driving and operating machinery until you know how you tolerate Robax Platinum.
- Keep Robax Platinum away from children.
- Caution should be used in patients who have heart failure, high blood pressure, or fluid retention.
- Caution should be used in patients who have irritation of the GI tract, diverticulosis, ulcerative colitis, or Crohn's.
- Caution should be used in patients who are at increased risk of kidney or liver problems. This includes patients who take fluid pills and older people.
- Stop using Robax Platinum and contact your doctor if you have difficulty or pain when urinating.
- The risk of stomach bleeding is increased if you are 60 years of age and older, have a history of stomach ulcers or bleeding disorders, take blood thinners or steroids, take Robax Platinum with other NSAID-containing medications, or consume more than three alcoholic drinks a day while taking Robax Platinum.
Side Effects
Robax Platinum side effects include heartburn, constipation, nausea, bloating, nervousness, or problems sleeping; however, these are not all the possible side effects that can occur. If you have any side effects that bother you or won't go away, call your doctor right away.
