Description
Qulipta (Atogepant) is a medication classified as a calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP) receptor antagonist. It works by blocking CGRP, a protein that contributes to the pain, inflammation, and vasodilation associated with migraine attacks. Qulipta is primarily used for the preventive treatment of migraine in adults.
Directions
Take Qulipta exactly as prescribed by your healthcare provider. The standard doses are 10 mg, 30 mg, or 60 mg, taken once daily. You can take the medication with or without food. If you have kidney issues or are on certain other medications, your dosage may differ. Consult your doctor before stopping the medication or changing the dose.

Side Effects
When taking Qulipta, some people might feel nauseous, constipated, or unusually tired or sleepy. These side effects were more common in people taking higher doses. Other possible side effects that are less common include decreased appetite, feeling dizzy, and slight weight loss.
Qulipta is generally safe, but in rare cases, it can cause more serious problems. Some people might experience increases in liver enzymes, which usually go back to normal after stopping the medication. A few people have reported significant weight loss or severe allergic reactions, which could include trouble breathing and swelling around the face. If you notice symptoms like persistent nausea, yellowing of the skin, or signs of a severe allergic reaction, you should get medical help right away.
