Description
Pregnyl is a prescription fertility treatment medication for women and is often prescribed for women beginning IVF treatments as part of assisted reproduction. Pregnyl supports the normal development of an egg in the ovary and stimulates the release of the egg during ovulation to improve chances of conception. Pregnyl is most commonly used in treating infertility in women, but may also be prescribed to treat hypogonadism in men. It is self-administered as an injection, and only certain intramuscular sites can be used for any Pregnyl injection dosage.
You can buy Pregnyl injection with a prescription at most pharmacies and get the best price for Pregnyl when your order medication online from Canada Pharmacy.
Directions
Patient’s Pregnyl injection dosage may vary considerably between different individuals. Your doctor will determine the Pregnyl injection dosage that will be best for you, but the standard guidelines for dosage are as follows:
For fertility treatment one injected dose after finishing menotropins treatment.
For hypogonadism 3 injections per week, or more / less as directed by physician.
For subcutaneous injection:
- Cleanse injection site with an alcohol wipe and allow to dry.
- Hold syringe in your dominant hand between your thumb and finger and use your other hand to pinch the skin at the selected site.
- Insert the entire needle (up to the hub of the syringe) at a 90° or a 45° angle with one swift motion and then push the plunger down slowly and carefully.
- After injection, quickly pull out the needle and apply pressure to the injection site with a sterile gauze pad if bleeding.
For intramuscular injection:
- Cleanse injection site with an alcohol wipe and allow skin to dry.
- Hold syringe in your dominant hand between your thumb and finger and use other hand to firmly stretch skin at selected injection site. Make sure you are using the intramuscular needle (usually 1 ½ ").
- Insert the entire needle (up to the hub of the syringe) at a 90° angle into the stretched skin area with one swift motion.
- Check the injection by pulling back slightly on the plunger and watch for blood in the syringe. (This is rare). You may feel slight resistance or see a small bubble - this is normal. If blood is not seen in the syringe, the needle is inserted properly. If blood does appear in the syringe, DO NOT inject the medication. Withdraw the needle, cover the site with a gauze pad, and apply pressure. Discard the syringe into the Sharps container. Repeat mixing and injection instructions.
- Once confirmed injection is made properly, push the the plunger slowly and steadily to complete it.
- Pull the syringe out in one motion.
