Ocuflox is dispensed in plastic bottles with dropper tips and caps.

Directions
Use Ocuflox as directed. Your doctor will determine an appropriate treatment regimen for you based on whether you have bacterial conjunctivitis or a bacterial corneal ulcer.
Do not let the tip of the applicator touch any surface; this will help reduce contamination.
Keep Ocuflox eye drops stored between 15°C and 25°C (59°F and 77°F); keep away from children.

Ingredients
The active ingredient in Ocuflox is ofloxacin.
Inactive ingredients include sodium chloride and purified water. The preservative is benzalkonium chloride. The medication may also contain hydrochloric acid and/or sodium hydroxide for pH adjustment.
Contraindications
Patients with an allergy to ofloxacin, quinolone medications, or any of the ingredients in the medication should not use Ocuflox.
Cautions
- Before you begin using Ocuflox, talk to your doctor about:
- All the prescription and over-the-counter medications you use, including other eye drops or ointments
- Your allergies
- Your current health problems and past medical history
- Your pregnancy or breastfeeding status
- Using Ocuflox long-term may result in an overgrowth of organisms, including fungi, that is resistant to the medication. This can lead to a superinfection.
- Lesions or erosions of weight-bearing joint cartilage and other signs of joint problems have occurred in animals that received systemic quinolones, including ofloxacin.
- Allergic reactions can occur, even after one dose.
Side Effects
Burning and discomfort of the eyes are the most common Ocuflox side effects. However, patients may experience other side effects.
Immediately inform your doctor of any side effects that bother you or won’t go away.
