Directions
Noxafil Oral Suspension is available in a 40 mg/mL concentration. The recommended noxafil oral suspension dosing for adults is 200 mg (5 mL) three times a day with meals. However, the dosage may vary depending on the condition being treated.
If you cannot eat a full meal, take Noxafil with a nutritional supplement or an acidic carbonated beverage. Always shake the bottle well before each use. Measure the dose with an oral syringe and swallow it directly without mixing it with any other liquid.
Noxafil is not approved for use in children under the age of 2.

Contraindications
Share your allergy history with your healthcare provider. Do not take Noxafil Oral Suspension if you are allergic to posaconazole, other azole antifungal medicines, or any of the other ingredients in Noxafil.
Noxafil should not be taken with certain medications, including sirolimus, CYP3A4 substrates such as pimozide and quinidine, certain statin drugs, ergot alkaloids, and venetoclax. Noxafil oral suspension should be avoided in people with known or suspected hereditary fructose intolerance.
Cautions
- Before starting Noxafil, inform your doctor:
- About any other medications you are taking, including rifabutin, phenytoin, cimetidine, esomeprazole, digoxin, and fosamprenavir, among others.
- About any health conditions you have, including liver problems, kidney problems, electrolyte imbalances, and heart rhythm problems.
- If you are pregnant or plan to get pregnant. Noxafil could harm an unborn baby
- If you are breastfeeding or plan to breastfeed. Noxafil can pass into breast milk and may harm a breastfeeding child.
- Noxafil may cause changes in liver function. You may need to discontinue Noxafil if you develop abnormal liver tests.
- Noxafil may cause changes in your heart rhythm. If you experience palpitations or fainting spells, contact your doctor immediately.
- Noxafil may cause allergic reactions. Seek immediate medical attention if you develop skin rash, fever, swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat, difficulty breathing, or feeling faint.

The most common side effects of Noxafil Oral Suspension include fever, diarrhea, nausea, headache, vomiting, coughing, itching, and low potassium levels. If any of these persist or worsen, promptly inform your doctor.
