Guidelines:
Take medication exactly as indicated in your prescription.
This medication can be injected in stomach, thighs, or back of upper arms only.

Preparing to inject MOUNJARO
- Remove the vial from the refrigerator
- Wash your hands with soap and water

Administration:
- Pull off protective plastic cap but be careful to not remove the rubber stopper. Wipe rubber stopper with an alcohol swab.

- Line up needle with the syringe, keeping it straight as you attach it and making sure it is firmly attached.
- Remove needle shield and make sure needle does not touch other surfaces.
- Hold syringe with needle pointing up and pull down on plunger tip until the line indicates that at least 0.5ml of air has been drawn into the syringe.
- Push needle through rubber stopper on vial and push it all the way into the vial.
- Turn vial and syringe upside down and check to see tip of needle is submerged in the medication before slowly pulling the plunger down until the tip is past the 0.5ml line. Tap syringe if there are air bubbles until bubble rise to top of syringe.
- Now push plunger up until tip goes back to the 0.5ml line and checking to see there is no air in the syringe.
- Pull syringe out of vial and prepare to inject. Choose injection location with needle in place and push down on plunger to inject full dose. Allow needle to remain in skin for at least 5 seconds. Pull needle out of skin and do not rub injection area or recap the needle.
