Description
MinoLira (Minocycline Hydrochloride) is a tetracycline medication used to treat inflamed pimples and red bumps of moderate to severe acne vulgaris in patients who are at least 12 years old.

MinoLira is available in 105 mg and 135 mg scored extended-release tablets.
The recommended dose is 1 mg per kg body weight by mouth once daily for 12 weeks.
The dose may be adjusted in patients who have kidney problems.
Ingredients
Each extended-release tablet contains Minocycline Hydrochloride.
Contraindications
You should not take MinoLira if you are allergic to other tetracycline medications.
Cautions
- Before you start taking MinoLira, inform your doctor:
- Of your allergies
- Of all the medications you take, including prescription and over-the-counter medications, vitamins, and herbal supplements
- Of your health conditions, including liver or kidney problems
- If you are pregnant or have plans to become pregnant
- If you are breastfeeding or have plans to breastfeed
- MinoLira can cause permanent teeth discoloration in infants and children during tooth development.
- MinoLira can cause severe irritation and bleeding in the colon. Contact your doctor right away if you experience watery diarrhea, persistent diarrhea, or bloody stools.
- MinoLira can make you feel dizzy or lightheaded. Do not drive or operate machinery until you know how MinoLira affects you.
- MinoLira can cause your skin to become more sensitive to sunlight. Protect your skin during treatment with MinoLira and do not use sunlamps or tanning beds.
- MinoLira can cause intracranial hypertension and should be discontinued if symptoms develop.
- MinoLira can cause autoimmune problems.
- MinoLira can cause serious allergic and skin reactions and should be discontinued if you develop a rash or other symptoms. Seek emergency care right away if you develop trouble breathing, swelling of the lips, mouth, or throat, hives, or any other severe symptoms.
Side Effects
The most common side effects of MinoLira include dizziness, fatigue, headache, and itchy skin.
Contact your doctor right away if you have side effects that persist or worsen.
