Directions
Invega Sustenna is administered through a once-monthly injection given by a healthcare provider.
The injection is given into the deltoid or gluteal muscle.
The usual monthly dosage is 39-234 mg once monthly.
Ingredients
The active ingredient is paliperidone.
During the first month, an injection is given on day 1, day 8, and then on day 29.

Cautions
Before starting Invega Sustenna, tell your doctor about any kidney or liver problems.
Your doctor should regularly monitor the levels of blood cells during the course of this medication.
Tell your doctor if you have a history of seizures.
This drug may cause hyperprolactinemia which can lead to gynecomastia or the painful enlargement of breasts.
Tell your doctor if you have a history of heart problems, diabetes, or any other chronic medical conditions.
Use caution if you are taking other drugs that treat mental health disorders.
