    Description

    Garamycin (gentamicin) 0.3% prescription eye drops are used to treat bacterial eye infections. It is also used to prevent eye infections after eye injury or surgery.

    Garamycin is for use of the eyes only.

    Directions

    Use Garamycin as directed by your doctor. Any questions or concerns about the medication can be referred to your doctor or pharmacist.

    Wash your hands well before you use the eye drops. Do not let the tip of the dropper touch any surface in order to avoid contamination. Do not wear contact lenses when inserting Garamycin eye drops.

    Your Garamcyin eye drops dosage will depend on the infection being treated and how well you respond to the medication. Your doctor may instruct you to use Garamycin more frequently at first, then use it less frequently as your infection improves.

    Wait at least 5 minutes after inserting Garamycin eye drops before you use other eye drops or ointments.

    Gentamicin sulfate, an antibiotic, is the active ingredient in Garamycin.

    Side Effects
