Description
Eyes are sensitive, and that’s why swelling of the eyeball can occur so easily as a result of any number of different factors. FML Forte is a prescription ocular corticosteroid medication to reduce eye swelling and is primarily for swollen eye treatment following an eye injury of corrective surgery. It provides relief from swelling, itching and redness along with preventing further complications that may result from unchecked inflammatory responses that created swelling in the eyes. Patients will use more or less of these eye drops for swollen eyes depending on the severity of their case as determined by a doctor.
Directions
- Wash hands first and shake the bottle before using. Avoid touching the dropper tip onto any other surface to prevent any risk of contamination.
- Tilt your head back, look upward, and pull down the lower eyelid to create the conjunctival sac. Hold the dropper right above your eye and place 1 drop into the sac.
- Look downward and gently close your eyes for 1 to 2 minutes.
- Place one finger at the corner of your eye (near the nose) and apply gentle pressure to prevent the medication from draining out. Make sure you do not blink and or rub your eye.
- Repeat these steps for your other eye if needed.
Do not rinse the dropper and replace the dropper cap after each use.
Wait at least 5 to 10 minutes before applying any other ocular medications you may be using at the same time. If that is an eye ointment of any sort be sure to apply your drops first, and then apply the ointment 5 to 10 minutes later.
