Description
Your dermatologist or primary care provider may prescribe Eucrisa (crisaborole), a topical prescription medication designed to treat mild to moderate atopic dermatitis in pediatric and adult patients.
Atopic dermatitis is also referred to as eczema. Common symptoms may include itching, inflamed skin, redness, dry or scaly skin, blisters or oozing lesions, thickening skin, crusting, hyperpigmentation, papules, and sleep disturbances.
Belonging to the non-steroidal phosphodiesterase 4 (PDE-4) inhibitors class, the active ingredient increases cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP) levels. This action reduces the immune response and subsequent inflammation, offering relief from symptoms associated with eczema.
