Directions
Use Endometrin Vaginal Insert as directed by your doctor. If you have any questions or concerns, tell your doctor or pharmacist.
The dose is to insert Endometrin 100 mg into the vagina two or three times a day. Start the day after oocyte retrieval and continue for up to 10 weeks.
Ingredients
Progesterone is the active ingredient in Endometrin Vaginal Insert.Inactive ingredients include lactose monohydrate, polyvinylpyrrolidone, adipic acid, sodium bicarbonate, sodium lauryl sulfate, magnesium stearate, pregelatinized starch, and colloidal silicon dioxide.
Contraindications
Do not use Endometrin Vaginal Insert if you are allergic to progesterone to any of the other ingredients in the insert.
Do not use Endometrin Vaginal Insert if you have a known missed abortion or ectopic pregnancy, liver disease, or breast cancer, or if you have or have had blood clots.
Cautions
- Before Endometrin Vaginal Insert treatment is initiated, discuss the following with your doctor:
- All the medications you take, including prescription and over-the-counter medications
- Your allergies
- Your health conditions and past medical history
- If you are pregnant or breastfeeding
- Blood clots can occur with Endometrin treatment.
- Patients with depression should be monitored closely.
- It is not recommended to use Endometrin with other vaginal products, as other products can affect Endometrin's absorption.
Side Effects
Post oocyte retrieval pain, stomach pain, nausea, and ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome are common side effects associated with Endometrin Vaginal Insert. Contact your doctor right away if you develop bothersome or persistent side effects.
