Description
Duovir-N is a combination medication specifically designed for the treatment of HIV infection. Lamivudine and zidovudine are classified as nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors (NRTIs), while nevirapine belongs to the non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor (NNRTI) class.
Together, these components work synergistically to inhibit the replication of the HIV virus, reducing its viral load and helping to manage the progression of the disease. Duovir-N is typically part of a complex treatment regimen to inhibit the progression of HIV to Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS).
