Description
Declomycin (Demeclocycline) is a tetracycline antibiotic used to treat a range of bacterial infections. This drug works by blocking the growth of bacteria, making it effective against conditions like Lyme disease, acne, and bronchitis. Demeclocycline is derived from a mutant strain of Streptomyces aureofaciens. It only targets bacterial infections and doesn't treat viral illnesses.
Directions
The standard Declomycin dosage varies, but it is commonly prescribed in doses of 150 mg to 300 mg, taken two to four times a day. The exact dosage depends on the condition being treated and the individual's response to the medication.
Take Demeclocycline on an empty stomach, either 1 hour before or 2 hours after meals. Avoid consuming it with dairy products such as milk, yogurt, cheese, and ice cream as these can interfere with absorption. The medication typically comes in tablet form, and it should be swallowed whole with a full glass of water.
Finish the full prescribed course even if symptoms improve to prevent the growth of bacteria resistant to antibiotics. Follow the dosage instructions provided by the healthcare provider closely.
Ingredients
