Description
Credelio Plus (lotilaner and milbemycin oxime) is a medication prescribed by a licensed veterinarian to treat ticks and fleas PLUS worms (gastrointestinal and lung) PLUS prevent heartworm disease in dogs.
Directions
Credelio Plus is available in five different chewable tablet strengths. The dose depends on your dog's weight. Discuss appropriate dosing and scheduling with your vet. Follow your vet's instructions on how to properly administer Credelio Plus to your dog.
Credelio Plus should be given with or after your dog's meal.
Credelio Plus should not be used in humans. Keep the medication away from children and other pets.
Ingredients
Lotilaner and milbemycin oxime are the active ingredients contained in Credelio Plus.
Cautions
- Before Credelio Plus is administered to your dog, tell your vet about your dog's:
- Medications
- Allergies
- Medical history and health problems
- Pregnancy or nursing status
- Lotilaner, an isoxazoline, has been associated with neurological adverse reactions such as tremors, balance and coordination problems, and seizures. Seizures can occur in dogs that don't have a history of seizures. Caution should be used, especially in dogs with a history of seizures or neurological problems.
Side Effects
Credelio Plus can cause weight loss, diarrhea, vomiting, muscle tremors, lack of energy, itching, and behavioral changes. Call your vet right away if your dog develops side effects that worry you or won't go away.
