Description
Your oncologist may prescribe Bambevi for the treatment of various types of cancers, including metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC), metastatic lung cancer, recurrent platinum-resistant ovarian cancer, or recurrent glioblastoma. It is a non-chemotherapy drug that belongs to the class of medications called biologics.1
Bambeviu is a monoclonal IgG1 antibody that binds to vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF). VEGF is a protein on the surface of endothelial cells that increases the growth of new blood vessels. By binding to VEGF, Bambevi prevents the growth of new blood vessels that would supply tumors with oxygenated blood.
