Description
Atrovent nebulization is used to help control symptoms of chronic lung diseases in adults, including chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, chronic bronchitis, or emphysema. It is also used to treat asthma in adults, adolescents, children, and infants. In addition, it is used in newborn infants to help treat neonatal respiratory illness.
Directions
Use Atrovent nebulizer as directed by your doctor. If you have any questions or concerns, call your doctor or pharmacy.
Your doctor will instruct you on your Atrovent nebulizer dosage depending on your age and the condition being treated.
Ingredients
Atrovent nebulizer contains ipratropium which helps relax the airways so you can breathe more easily.
Contraindications
Atrovent nebulization is flammable; therefore, it should be kept away from heat or flames. Do not puncture the container.
Atrovent nebulizer should not be administered to patients who are allergic to its ingredients.

- Do not drive or operate machinery until you know the medication affects you, as it can cause blurry vision and dizziness.
- Atrovent nebulization should be used with caution in elderly patients.
- Pregnant women should use Atrovent nebulization only if the benefits outweigh the risks.
Side Effects
Atrovent nebulization side effects include headache, dizziness, blurred vision, and dry mouth. However, other side effects can also occur. Contact your doctor right away if you have side effects that bother you or won’t go away.
