Directions
Use Anodan-HC as directed by your doctor. For additional instructions for use, including proper storage, carefully read the medication guide that accompanies the product.
Recommended dosing for the ointment: use in the morning, after every bowel movement, and at bedtime.
Recommended dosing for the suppository: insert one suppository into the anus in the morning, after every bowel movement, and in the evening.

Ingredients
The active ingredients in Anodan-HC are hydrocortisone and zinc sulfate.
Inactive ingredients in Anodan-HC ointment include germaben II and petrolatum.
Inactive ingredients in Anodan-HC suppositories include methylparaben, propylparaben, and triglycerides.
Contraindications
Patients who are allergic to hydrocortisone, zinc sulfate, or to any of the other ingredients in the medication should not use Anodan-HC. In addition, patients who have tuberculosis, bacterial, viral, or fungal skin infections should not use Anodan-HC.

Side Effects
Weight gain, skin that becomes thin or fragile, and dizziness are possible Anodan-HC side effects; however, other side effects can also occur. Immediately tell your doctor about any side effects that bother you or persist.
