What is a Generic Drug?

A generic drug is a copy of the brand-name drug with the same dosage, safety, strength, quality, consumption method, performance, and intended use. Before generics become available on the market, the generic company must prove it has the same active ingredients as the brand-name drug and works in the same way and in the same amount of time in the body.

The only differences between generics and their brand-name counterparts is that generics are less expensive and may look slightly different (eg. different shape or color), as trademarks laws prevent a generic from looking exactly like the brand-name drug.

Generics are less expensive because generic manufacturers don't have to invest large sums of money to develop a drug. When the brand-name patent expires, generic companies can manufacture a copy of the brand-name and sell it at a substantial discount.

    Description

Allergy sufferers are all familiar with allergic conjunctivitis and the symptomatic red, itchy, and watery eyes that come with it. All of it is something that just can’t be allowed to continue and that’s why an allergy relief eye drop is needed. Alomide ophthalmic solution is a prescription eye allergy medication for fast relief of allergic conjunctivitis, and it works by preventing mast cells in the rear of the eye from overreacting to immune system stimuli and causing redness, itching, and watering eyes. Also known as lodoxamide 0.1 eye drops, this is a reliable eye drop for allergies that allergy sufferers can count on.

You can buy Alomide ophthalmic solution with a doctor’s prescription from most pharmacies, and you can always buy this product for the best price when you order medication online from Canada Pharmacy.

    Directions

    1. Wash hands before holding eye drop dispenser upright in hands.
    2. Tilt head back and then hold dropper above eye with dispenser facing down towards eye.
    3. Squeeze lightly to dispense a single drop of Alomide ophthalmic solution onto each eye.
    4. Apply drops to eyes up to 4 times a day as needed for itchy eye relief, and for up to 3 months.

It is best not to wear contact lenses when giving yourself Alomide allergy eye drops, and if you are using other solution eye medications you should wait 5-10 minutes between treatments.

    Ingredients

The active ingredient in Alomide ophthalmic solution is lodoxamide.
