Albon (sulfadimethoxine) is used by or on the order of a licensed veterinarian to treat a variety of bacterial infections in dogs and cats and bacterial enteritis due to coccidiosis in dogs.

Directions
Albon is available in 125 mg, 250 mg, and 500 mg oral tablets and a 5% oral suspension.

First dose: 25 mg per pound of your pet's body weight, then 12.5 mg per pound of your pet's body weight every 24 hours

Depending on your pet's response to the medication, the duration of treatment may vary. Generally, 3 to 5 days of treatment is appropriate. Continue to treat your pet until they do not have symptoms for 48 hours.

Cautions
- Do not use Albon on humans.
- While treating your pet with Albon, make sure that your pet drinks an adequate amount of water.
Side Effects
Albon may cause diarrhea in your pet. If your pet develops concerning or persistent side effects, contact your veterinarian right away.
