The usual dosage is one drop in each affected eye twice daily, approximately 12 hours apart.
Do not touch the tip of the dropper bottle to the eye because it can contaminate the medication.
For the best results, it is important to follow your healthcare provider’s instructions and use Cequa consistently.
The active ingredient in Cequa is cyclosporine.
Common drug-drug interactions with this medication can include:
Before starting Cequa, tell your doctor if you have any history of eye infections, herpes keratitis, or any other eye conditions.
Do not use Cequa if you are allergic to cyclosporine or any other ingredients in the solution.
Do not instill Cequa while you have contact lenses in place. If you wear contact lenses, remove them before applying Cequa and wait at least 15 minutes before reinserting them.
Use caution to avoid contamination by not touching the dropper tip to the eye, hands, or another surface.
